have you seen far-cry2 and crysis running on the ps3 yet??? did they look good? and could you post the links so everyone can enjoy the spectacle please!
and the 360 is a shooter console??? two of sonys biggest games are shooters..lol it's amazing how things change is'nt! anyway, i'm looking forward to resistance2, 60 player battles is what i want! does anyone know the player count for kz2?
it's more of a movelty toy, and can be fun for all types. i use mine as something to do when we have friends round! once the conversation starts turning stale, bang, on goes the wii, and everyone is laughing again playing wii sports! and the missus is sort of into gaming if we play on the wii!!
god, i hope that gaming does'nt follow the same path! i've always loved the leap in technology from system to system! and if sony or microsoft go down the same route with their next consoles...
but i want to know how much bandwidth on the up side we're gonna need, to be able to host 16 people, with headsets, and with peds and police turned on!???
coz this game on-line sounds like it's gonna be great! providing you can play like that without it lagging all over the place! i hope i'm wrong, but i'm sure this is gonna be 1meg+ upload to get the best out what's on offer!

diverse??? what and the ps3 has? just look at the ps3s games... they're all fps/tps/action/sports sims and driving games...with the exception of ratchet and clank the only platformer! both systems off the same thing. except there' more rpg's and rts games on the 360.
the ps3 offers nothing more to a gamer other than it's exclusives! i'm not mentioning blu-ray because it's not a game, and we're not discussing video playback!
i see where you are coming from mate. but imo there's only two real ps3 sellers this year, and that's gt and metal gear. i don't think anything else has the appeal to shift hardware! sony should be bothered by gta, and not rest on it's laurels(and they're not taking any chances, by doing a bundle for both mgs and gt, they're trying their hardest to shirt consoles!), because as i said in an earlier post, combined mgs and gt still are'nt gonna shift the 8 mil needed to catch up!

i did'nt see your first comment, but i do agree with a couple of things in your second. when i first started coming on here last year, this was by far the best gaming site around. now it's the bash microsoft site, which is stricken with sony fanb...
imo will never happen because i'm sure that microsoft thinks it could help teams cheat! a unified clan system would no doubt be good for people that like that sort of thing.
dedicated servers again imo should be present in every game that has matchmaking: cod4 and halo best examples to cut down on host advantage. and dedicated servers for games with large player counts: warhawk, resistance, battlefield and frontlines spring to mind. and to the people that say they never encounter l...
imo ofcourse! i like a decent fps! i've had some of the best fun on-line with pals on fps. and i would'nt want to change that...decent ones ofcourse! at the end of the day, it's what floats your boat!
but also sounds like a whole load of lag unless your hosting with a fair amount of upload bandwidth! come on rockstar, i want to know just how much 16players wearing headsets, peds and police turned on is gonna take??
i know i've said it before, but this aint gonna be possible if you only have 500kps upload..... you'll be hosting about 6!
